The toy behind the store

LINCOLN LOGS were invented in 1916 by John Lloyd Wright, son of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Inspired by the interlocking timber construction he saw on building sites, he scaled the idea down to a child’s hands. More than a century later the formula hasn’t changed: real notched maple logs that stack into cabins, lodges and whole villages.

Why real wood matters

Every set listed here uses genuine, high-quality wood, carefully stained in the classic palette — warm brown logs, muted-red roof facades, forest-green rooftops. The newest retreats are cut from European beechwood. Wood feels different, weighs different, and survives being handed down from one generation of builders to the next.
